Super-producer Jaz, whose musical influences cross cultural lines, has been producing for 15 years and is widely sought after for A&R and album development. Born in San Diego, California, Jaz got his name from his huge jazz influences growing up. In his early teens, he was inspired to create music from listening to New Wave 80's acts such as Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Sting and Phil Collins. His inspiration was solidified by the New Jack Swing artists of the early 90's such as Teddy Riley, Guy, Jodeci and Blackstreet. He began to record acappella songs which made him a well-known presence within the musical community. He would develop an uncanny gift for arrangement, which he utilized to create several successful artists and groups.

Jaz attended musical courses at San Diego City College before transferring to the Musical Institute of Science in Los Angeles, California to master Recording Engineering Technology. Today, Jaz has worked with established artists such as Ludacris, Goodie Mobb, Keith Murray, Ginuwine, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Paster Troy, Mista Fab, Turf Talk, Max B and many others.....

Jaz is the chief engineer at Batkave Recordings. This is where he professionally records and mixes down his material. He frequently travels between New York and Los Angeles to work with various artists and production teams. In addition, Jaz's passion for music production has led him on further ventures to Asia, Australia and Mexico.

"I take pride in working hard on projects and bringing the best out of artists. Most importantly, I understand that records are not made by one person, so I strive to be a team player," Jaz says.
